Budget Xmas Gift Ideas
Xmas can be an expensive time and can have our credit cards almost melting from excessive use during the festive season….save with these great budget xmas gift ideas.
Here’s some great gift and savings ideas:
Laminate hand-decorated place mats
A great gift for Christmas, a birthday or any other time of year is to have drawings or pictures laminated and used as placemats. Have your children personalise Christmas placemats for family for Christmas lunch and have them laminated. You can make a collage using old Christmas wrapping, cards or even photos.
Christmas stocking
Make your own Christmas stocking using two medium size felt pieces in either red or green or even both. Glue on some Christmas decorations. This will cost around $8.00.
Christmas baubles for teacher gift
Have you found Christmas gifts for teachers costing a fortune? Purchase some Christmas balls from Big W for about $4.00 or $5.00 for a pack of six and some glitter glue pens and decorate each one. Your kids will have fun decorating each ball for each teacher. On each ball I’m write your child’s name eg ’From ****’. Each will be very personal and each teacher will remember your child’s year at school.
You can also make some Rocky Road to go with it, one batch will make six Christmas tree shapes. Total cost for all six teachers is $30, just $5.00 per teacher.
