This morning a segment on Sunrise with Mel & Kochie caught my attention as I was on my way out the door…. but definitely made me stop & watch. 

The interview was on Religion’s view on Organ Donation and included four religious leaders as they talked about their stance on organ donation….and the need to spread the word that it is acceptable within their religious groups.

It makes you wonder how many people actually think it’s against their religious beliefs ….. when in fact it’s not.  There seems to be a need, as these leaders agreed, to better inform their respective religious groups.

It certainly makes you stop & ask yourself……

Why is it that in Australia we have only around 200 deceased donors each year – one of the lowest donor rates in the developed world?

For many receiving an Organ Donation can mean the difference between life & death…and with the recent passing of my son’s father I know how this loss affects all our lives.

So if you’re in doubt… ask and seek more information so that you can make an informed decision….  Organ Donation Is A Precious Gift Of Life!
